The Great Provincetown Schooner Regatta will be taking place this September 6th in Ptown Harbor. This is a very exciting time for schooner captains from all over. Captains come with their crew to enjoy the lovely Ptown harbor each year. This Regatta has been held in the Provincetown harbor since 2002. This regatta is in honor of the schooners of the past. The harbor was once filled with sailors and this Regatta will give you an idea of what the harbor once looked like. On September 5th there will be a Parade of Sail where people can watch the the ships from the pier before the big Regatta on September 6th. There will be parties and gatherings around this great race so come on down and enjoy a fun filled weekend.
Labor Day Weekend is just around the corner which means this is the last big weekend of the Summer. There will be plenty of festivities this weekend for the entire family to enjoy. The weather should be great this weekend and why not enjoy this great weather before the Fall comes. The Dexter’s Inn is a great place to enjoy this weekend, we are located right in the center of Provincetown. You can walk to restaurants, shopping, galleries and more. You could even venture off to go on a whale watch this weekend or a dune tour. There is so much to do in Ptown you will not be bored.
Even though Summer is almost coming to an end the weather here on the Cape is still beautiful. The ocean water is at it’s warmest and the beaches are just as nice as ever. Though school will be starting soon, there is still time to get away and come on down to Ptown for a little vacation. You can still get a tan and enjoy all the great things that there are to do here in Provincetown. All the shops are open all day every day and there are plenty of activities to keep you busy. Come one down an visit us, you will not be disappointed.
